Outreach Intern


Support marketing and communication activities on our Community Team.

As an Outreach Intern, you will support marketing and communication activities on our Community Team. Some of your main responsibilities will include planning and emailing marketing and social media campaigns, such as our monthly newsletters and product releases. You will work with our Community Specialist to brainstorm and execute on outreach projects with our various audiences.

About You

  • You are currently studying marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • You are able to write for different audiences–both formal and informal ones.
  • You obsess over details, and triple check information until it’s perfect
  • You can quickly change projects and contexts with new marketing opportunities and understand the timeliness in your deliverables
  • You are all about growth mindsets; if you don’t know how to do something, you take the initiative to learn how to do it!


  • You will rub shoulders with key players in the education and technology spaces–everyone from Bill and Melinda Gates, California State Superintendent Tom Torlakson, The Hewlett Foundation, and Susan Crown.
  • You will have the opportunity to quickly “own a space” at a startup in Silicon Valley, and have your work reach hundreds of thousands of students.
  • You will join a movement of like-minded entrepreneurs hoping to radically improve education.
