Gooru’s Navigator Courses are Designed to Supplement Your Curriculum
Math Navigator brings together all of Gooru’s Navigator tools to create a Navigator course that supplements existing classroom curricula and practices to support complex knowledge and skill development. Math Navigator can be used with the existing curriculum and norms of the district and can be used for gap filling, review, and/or acceleration of learners. Learners move from 2nd to HS-grade math with a full spectrum of Common Core Standards aligned resources and assessments. Math Navigator will generate an individualized pathway and provide highly curated, personalized suggestions to help each learner reach their math goals. All stakeholders in the school ecosystem can track student activities and growth and support them as appropriate.
Import Your Existing Materials to Build Your Own Courses and Curriculum
School Districts that wish to bring their own materials to Navigator can do so by working with our team. We are able to support any file type and have purposeful flexibility in order to ensure that your course functions the way that you need it to. We will work with you to build a custom competency framework and/or crosswalk your standards to existing frameworks.
Gooru removes the silos that hold student data in various 3rd party tool dashboards by creating a data lake that gathers raw data and analyzes it using AI techniques to create a comprehensive profile of each student. This data can then be accessed through Mission Control and used by administrators to make informed decisions.
We know that each district has their own unique needs and uses different curriculum for each subject. Navigator allows for districts to provide their own scope and sequence or choose from a public scope and sequence for each subject. The scope and sequence is populated with activities and assessments from Navigator Library to provide teachers additional standards aligned, curated resource.
A paid membership to the Navigated Learning Collaborative gives you access to Gooru’s four Navigator tools as well as a tenancy on Navigator that allows for role based Mission Control access, single sign on via OneRoster or Classlink, remote training sessions and unlimited email support, and customization of Navigator with your brand, color, and user settings.
Gooru has made it easy for School Districts to get started. From signing our agreement through implementation we are there to support and guide you. District Administrators can onboard entire schools through single sign on and roster integration through GMail, Classlink, OneRoster, or Google Classroom and use our templates to customize your curriculum. We provide in person training, webinars, and customer support by phone and email throughout the process.
We work with you to develop an implementation process and timeline that works for your needs.
Roster Your Students, Teachers, and Administrators
Currently we offer onboarding users using single sign on with IMS Global OneRoster, ClassLink, Gmail, and WS Federation. Google Classroom and Clever Integrations are also coming in November 2020.
Locate Your Learner
We provide flexibility in your learners’ starting locations. Districts can use existing NWEA or other standardized test scores, create a quick diagnostic, allow for teacher input, or use an approximation based on grade level to provide the starting location for their users.
Gooru can integrate with an already established district or school data lake or create one for you. This allows the raw data from a variety of 3rd party tools and apps to be gathered and analyzed in one tool, Mission Control. School districts can opt into this feature at no additional cost.
We provide a two training sessions per year to our districts. Our first training session will give teachers and administrators an overview and understanding of Navigator tools and how to use them. The second training happens two weeks later to address questions, concerns, and explore how to get the most out of Navigator.
Please note that due to the current pandemic, all training sessions are remote and conducted over video chat.
Math Navigator has a built in scope and sequence that allows for Navigated Learning, but districts can choose to align our framework to their curriculum needs and standards. Districts can provide Gooru with their custom scope and sequence or choose from a publicly available option.
Depending on your needs and customization level, it can take 2 weeks to 2 months to completely launch Navigator.
Timeline is dependent on how fast a school district provides complete information to Gooru.

"At first I must admit students weren't super excited, but when they started seeing how they were improving, progressing, and meeting their learning goals, they became so excited. They even wanted to get back onto Math Navigator when they completed their MAP testing, so that they could improve their scores for next time."
"During the 2019-2020 school year, Silverback Learning Solutions worked with a school district to help Gooru pilot their Math Navigator program. It was exciting to see the district have instant access to over 4 million curated educational resources; helping create personalized learning pathways for students. Gooru's support and engagement to make the pilot successful was a true reflection of teamwork. We look forward to more joint client engagements in the future!"
"This tool is helping us understand the learning level status of our class. We are getting results of assessment within minutes, so it is helping us to prepare the further plan for children’s learning. Navigator is also supporting us by providing teaching and learning material. Students' learning level can be found on a single screen, so it becomes easy to track child learning proficiency for continuous comprehensive evaluation"
"I enjoy using Gooru as a supplemental math mechanism for my students. I also enjoy the data it provides that can fuel my instruction and reteaching. Some successes [we have experienced] include: reaching a multitude of students' needs and learning levels. This program works at its own pace, with/for each learner. It gives them a variety of skills and modalities to teach such skills."
